I am not sure why but lately its been placed upon my heart to do more for the poor and needy. I strive to look for opportunities to give or perform Zakat(charity) to those I come across in my daily endeavors. I give charity everyday at work since im caring for those who cant take care of themselves but regardless it has been placed upon my heart to possibly start a soup kitchen or some sort of mission towards feeding those who are hungry and homeless. I see commericals all the time on TV that speak of 1 in 4 children who go hungry from lack of nutritious food or lack of food period. Growing up I was one of those hungry children and so I can relate to what it feels like not having enough to eat or eating healthy food. I am not sure what GOD wants me to do but I am assuming its along the lines of feeding the poor and needy. I always had the thought of starting a women and children only soup kitchen or a women and children only homeless shelter. I also have thought about starting an orphanage or a foster group home for young children who no longer have parents or been abandoned. I know that I cant save the world and that I cant resolve every world social problem but I can do something to make a difference but I am not sure what it is exactly just yet but the urge and imprint on my heart seems to get bigger and sometimes I catch myself planning it all out but InshaAllah God will continue to guide me towards what he wants me to do and the purpose of these thoughts on my heart.
